Beyond the portfolio

Since you’re curious...

The case studies show what I build. This page is the other stuff, how I think, what I’m into, and who you’d actually be talking to on a Monday morning.

Life outside the screen

When I’m not designing, I’m usually travelling, playing football, or cycling up a mountain somewhere. At home there’s Biggie, my cat. He ignores me daily. I keep trying anyway.

How I work

I like messy products.

The ones that have collected years of features, edge cases, technical constraints, and decisions that made sense at the time. I enjoy understanding how those pieces fit together, finding where the experience has become harder than it needs to be, and turning the underlying logic into something clearer.

For the past five years, I’ve worked across EdTech, SaaS, and multiscreen streaming. At Ans, I redesigned grading workflows across a platform serving more than 1 million people, improved customer-effort scores, and built the foundations of a custom design system now used by more than 10 engineers. Before that, I designed streaming experiences across mobile, web, Smart TV, Apple TV, Android TV, and set-top boxes.

The work I enjoy most starts when there is no obvious pattern to copy. A streaming player has plenty of references. A specialized grading workflow usually does not. That forces me to understand the domain, look at product data and customer feedback, talk to users, and challenge the proposed solution before opening Figma.

I work closely with product managers and engineers from discovery through delivery. More recently, I’ve also moved closer to implementation. I use AI-assisted coding tools to prototype ideas and have shipped more than 40 frontend pull requests for accessibility, interaction states, layout improvements, and smaller UX gaps.

Outside work, I build side projects, play football, cycle across Europe, and continue trying to earn the approval of Biggie, my cat.

Things to know about me

  1. I build products for fun

Outside work, I enjoy building side projects with Cursor and AI tools. It’s my playground for exploring new ideas without waiting for the perfect opportunity.

  2. I’ve called six countries home

Studying and working across Europe has taught me to adapt quickly, communicate across cultures, and feel comfortable in unfamiliar environments.

  3. Football helps me settle anywhere

Whenever I move somewhere new, I usually end up joining a local football team. It’s my favourite way to meet people outside work.

  4. I explore Europe by bike

I’ve completed multiple bikepacking trips across Austria, Italy, Romania, and beyond. I enjoy slow travel, long climbs, and planning routes almost as much as riding them.
